Kelly Koerner, PhD
Kelly is Creative Director of the Evidence-Based Practice Institute, LLC, where she combines technology, design, and social enterprise to help clinicians improve clients' outcomes. She is an expert clinician, clinical supervisor, and trainer in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with specialized training in other evidence-based practices. As a trainer, she is known for her warmth and highly engaging, practical teaching style. She is adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Washington. Linda Dimeff, PhD
Linda joins the Evidence-Based Practice Institute, LLC as Research Director after previously serving as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President at BTECH Research, Inc. Linda’s primary areas of interest involve designing, building, and evaluating innovative technology-based solutions to disseminate evidence-based therapies. Trained, supervised, and mentored by Marsha Linehan, Linda is a DBT expert clinician, consultant, and supervisor with specialty expertise in DBT for Substance Abusers as well as other evidence-based behavioral therapies. Linda is the 2011 recipient of the ISITDBT Cindy J. Sanderson Outstanding Educator Award. She is a standing member of the Mental Health Services Research grant review committee for the National Institute of Mental Health and is Adjunct Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington. Linda has received over 20 federal grants to facilitate the dissemination of evidence-based therapies and has published over 50 peer-reviewed publications. She is the first author of Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention College Students and the primary editor of DBT in Clinical Practice. Linda can be reached via email at email@example.com.
Angela Brimer, MS
Angela is the Grants, Contracts, and WILLOW Community Support Manager at Evidence-Based Practice Institute. She received her Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon where she administered structured interviews and examined attentional and physiological response to stress through brainwave activity, heart rate, electrodermal activity, and prepulse inhibition. Angela has worked on many successful federally-funded projects with Linda Dimeff, including coordinating research participants and federal grant submissions to the National Institute of Health. Julie Chung, BS
Julie is a Customer Service Liaison / Research Assistant at EBPI. She graduated from the University of Washington in June 2016, with a bachelor of science in psychology and minors in disability studies and nutritional sciences. Julie is interested in mental health, risk behaviors, and treatment. As an undergraduate, she has research experience working with populations with PTSD receiving prolonged exposure psychotherapy. Stephen Grose, BS
Stephen is the Operations Associate for the Evidence-Based Practice Institute. He seeks to ensure all areas of the organization function smoothly and efficiently. He has a Bachelor’s of Computer Science in Game Software Development but found the games industry to promote an unhealthy work/life balance. He has always been an advocate of mental health and its benefits, he is even a Certified Peer Counselor in the state of Washington! Julia Snyder, MS
Julia is a Project Manager at the Evidence-Based Practice Institute. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a consultant for a local technology company. In addition to experience managing teams and projects, Julia brings her background in User-Centered Design to this role. She believes that good design should be the rule, not the exception. As a master's student in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, she focused on design questions that revolved around public health issues. Jenna Levy, BA
Jenna is a Research Assistant at EBPI. She graduated with honors from the University of Washington in June 2017 with bachelor degrees in Psychology and Communication. As an undergraduate, Jenna was involved with several research projects, including an organizational psychology study on how emotions influence decisions in the workplace and an adult clinical study on transgender health behaviors. She was an undergraduate teaching assistant for Abnormal Psychology and a Social Psychology Lab, and she was on the Board of Directors of Project Sunshine, an organization delivering recreational services to children undergoing medical challenges. Lucy Dong, BS
Lucy is a Project Manager at the Evidence-Based Practice Institute, where she manages the software development team for the WILLOW project, as well as helps design and test WILLOW. She graduated from the University of Washington in June 2015, with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Public Health. Lucy’s main research interests are in domestic and global dissemination and implementation (D&I) of evidence-based mental health treatments. As an undergraduate, she gained research experience in the D&I of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, stress and coping, and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy. Divya Raj, BA
Divya is a Research Assistant at EBPI. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Education. As an undergrad, she was a Research Assistant in Dr. Kate McLaughlin’s Stress and Development Lab. Divya was involved with several research studies that examined how experiences of stress and adversity impact children and adolescents’ emotional, cognitive, social, and neurological development. She was an undergraduate teaching assistant for Statistics in Psychology, and she was a Tutor-Mentor for the University of Washington’s Academic Support Programs. Kathryn Patrick, LCSW
Kathryn Patrick, LCSW, received her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. After her initial clinical training Kathryn joined the Portland DBT Institute (PDBTI) in 2010 where she worked as a DBT clinician primarily on the Teen/Family Teen. She eventually became a supervisor and joined the PDBTI Training and Consultation team, then ultimately served as the agency’s Clinical Operations Manager before moving with her family back to her home state of Colorado. During that time she received direct clinical supervision from DBT expert, Linda Dimeff, PhD, including review of her session tapes. Kathryn has lead multiple workshops on the implementation of DBT for various populations and in various settings, and has consulted for DBT programs throughout the state of Oregon and Washington. She has also supervised many clinicians at various stages of learning and practicing DBT, and currently serves as a clinical supervisor for graduate students studying DBT under Treatment Developer Marsha Linehan, PhD, at the University of Washington. Kathryn joined EBPI in 2015 and has assisted Kelly Koerner, PhD in various DBT tracks and workshops. She is an assistant instructor in the 2016/17 PracticeGround Learning Community.
