ACT and FAP Matrix Class
with Benjamin Schoendorff MA, MSc

In this course you will learn how to integrate the fundamentals of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy with the Matrix model, a simple intuitive model of clinical behavior analysis you can share with clients.  In this distance learning format, you and a small group of colleagues will meet for six (6) online sessions with Benjamin Schoendorff, MA, MSc.  The course uses engaging didactics, experiential exercises, and between session practice with clients and support from your trainer to help you learn how to:

  • Present the ACT model to clients through the Matrix and help them increase their ability to notice the relevant processes and get moving,
  • Collaboratively conceptualize your clinical cases with your clients,
  • Foster deep and empathic therapeutic relationships with your clients that help move powerful clinical processes,
  • Collaboratively develop appropriate and specific in-between sessions assignments,
  • Flexibly identify workable clinical interventions that get clients and therapy unstuck,
  • Use a variety of techniques designed to maximize your client’s psychological flexibility and actions toward a rich and meaningful life.

This course includes the rare opportunity to benchmark the growth of your skills with a before, after and follow-up assessment of your matrix skills!
